Question by Justin M: Bipolar where to start?
I have not been diagnosed, nor have I been to a doctor since I was 16 for working papers. I’m currently 20, and feel that maybe I should go to a doctor or at least take a small step and talk to my mother before I see a doctor about these problems.
My problems consist of, depression, mostly towards night times when i am the loneliest which result in little to no sleep the only way I sleep is b/c of my addiction for sleeping aids, nyquil/tylenol pm/unisom/melatonin.

Central Hills, La Hacienda, and others are listed as “within Dallas Area.” Type Christian rehab in Dallas, TX into a search and this should bring up some options for your consideration. Shiloh is listed in Dallas. Also, some depend if you are male or female as to where the closest location is to you.

What Can Be Done for Alcoholic Who Has Already Been in Rehab Twice?
Question by sweetgirl: What can be done for Alcoholic who has already been in rehab twice?
My friend has been to rehab twice for alcoholism. He didn’t stay sober for long and doesn’t think going again will help. He goes to AA meetings for few days but then gets back to drinking. It on and off mostly drinking and not going to meetings. Is there any hope for him or what can be done if rehab has failed for him. He is in so much pain and says he needs help so bad and he struggles everyday. I try to suggest things but he doesn’t do them. I know that I can’t help him but tell him that he needs to allow people to help him and support him and not refuse it. Any advise on this would be great.
So far good answers I have suggested alot of stuff like yoga, hobby, going to the gym after work instead of straight home to drink, counseling, spending time at bookstore since he likes to read. I know he can only help himself but its very sad to not be able to help someone that you love.
Addiction to Drugs Physical or Mental?
Question by Omar: addiction to drugs physical or mental?
Is addiction to stimulant drugs a physical or mental addiction?

Depends. And is probably a mixture of both. With a drug like cocaine, if you have been taking it a lot, and then you don’t have any, you get a itchy desperate feeling like you’ve got to have some more. Same with cigarettes or alcohol, your body gets used to having it and when it doesn’t, it starts to withdraw and you want mor to stop the feeling of discomfort. But then I’d say that the onset of the addiction comes from a mental perspective. Say with a drug like weed, the physical withdraw isn’t uncomfortable, you just rely on it mentally.
