I have a history of drug abuse and alcoholism in my family. I’m king of skeptical about getting involved in anything. But i guess everything in moderation right?

don’t do drugs just because they are incredibly hard to impossible to do moderately. I assume grass is not a huge deal but I’d still avoid it, you might love the feeling and then one day when you feel down you want something stronger, you move onto another drug and there you get into a terrible cycle that carries you with it down very low.

why are doctors reluctant, at least in my small town, to treat pain. i’ve had a diagnose from a major university that recommend analgesics. nerve damage and degenerative bone disease. is it they are afraid of the demonized opiates and might lose their licenses. i thought doctors went to school to help not cower in fear of the FDA. if you live in eastern oregon and know of a pain specialist please tell.

Unfortunately, they do cower in fear of their licensing boards and their local district attorney.

In PA I lost my kids to the State through CYS. I visited them for six months and never got them back. I was wondering how I can go about on getting them back. How do I show the state that I am better. I want to to know what is my rights and duties?

When the children were taken, did the state not give you a parenting plan to follow? Stating that the return of the children be contingent upon following that plan?

Question by just me: How do people get jobs as counselors for corporations?
Some places of employment, usually big corporations like Best Buy and Wal*Mart, will offer a hotline for their employees to call if they need someone to talk to about issues in their lives. Who do these counselors work for? How did they get that job? If anyone has info, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need to contact a company that specializes in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Check your yellow pages for local providers.
