i just found out that my boyfriend has been doing meth every weekend. he has always had a problem with meth long before i got with him. but he told me he would get help. i thought he was doing ok, though he did it every once in a while i thought he was starting to try. i have already left him once for this and he said he quit and i really thought he did. i think he did for a while but he decided that since he had been doing good that it was ok for him do a little bit. he thinks doing a dime is not a big deal.
i really need some advice. we have been together for a year and he just wont stop. i want him to go to rehab but i dont know how to talk him into going. i live in fort worth texas, so if anyone knows of a good place for him to go or if there is a way to have him taken by someone else where he has no choice, please tell me, im so lost.

you should do some sort of unusual addiction like one that’s not as commonly discussed, like drugs/alcohol. maybe something like treating addiction to food, or the most interesting, sex. that last one would be nice and controversial as well 🙂 fun! push da boundaries you rebel. and it is actually a real problem for some people and not as often talked about cuz of its taboo nature!!!

It’s like any other addiction, I deal with it too. Ask yourself what hole the addiction is filling and fill it with something else. Are you on the web because you’re avoiding something? Face it. Are you on the web because you’re lonely? Find real friends. Just killing time? Find a hobby.

Tell them you must have an important conversation with them. Then tell them you have a drug problem and as hard as you have tried you cannot break it. Obviously you need trained care. Good luck.
