People in Jacksonville, NC, PLEASE HELP ME ASAP! Have Your Children Been to Gilliam Dentistry? Sedatives, Etc.?

Question by : People in Jacksonville, NC, PLEASE HELP ME ASAP! Have your children been to Gilliam dentistry? Sedatives, etc.?
My two year old has to have “sleepy juice” and Nitrus Oxide on the 27th so that they can fix two teeth. They will not allow anyone in the room when performing the proceedure, and I am frightened of the “sleepy Juice”. If you don’t know what that is, it is a mixture of 3 sedatives used to make a child less active and sleepy, and to make him not remember. I am reminded vaguely of the date rape drug when they tell me this… Have your children been to this dentist? Any good? Trustworthy? No reviews online. 🙁 I am terrified something might happen to my child… and why are they so afraid to have a superviser in the room? My child is going to be under “happy gas” as it was called when I was young, and SEDATIVES, three of them. I don’t even give my kid benadryl… now THREE sedatives? And I can’t be there to make sure they watch the guages and make sure his oxygen is ok? And they say I have to watch him every second for the first 8 hours after surgery…. and “maintain his airway”. WTF???

Sorry so long! PLEASE HELP. I am desperate. Thank you if anyone bothers to answer. I never have gotten a response to a question except once and I am really needing it right this minute! :0

I read 2 reviews online that said it is a great place.

The procedure does sound a little scary. If you do not feel comfortable than go someplace else or you could try demanding to be in the room during the procedure.
