I tried to join Air Force but since I got out of treatment for my drinking they said I couldn’t join for 2 years, which would put me over the age limit…. So….. because i tried to better myself and do something with my life i get punished? Does other branches have the same rule?

My roommate is trying so hard to come off opiods on his own, but is really struggling. Unfortunately, he cannot work right now, as he was recently inured on the job. That, in itself, is a huge mess — and terrible timing! Anyway, he desperately wants to return to a clean and sober life, but has no way to pay for the treatment. I’m doing the best I can to be his support, but he needs the help of professionals. Can anyone offer us information about treatment facilities which provide services for free, or based on a financial hardship? ANY help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!

What are the laws for ny state for felony on drug possession and so forth? and why doesn’t the system provide a better and manditory drug rehab for convicted felons instead of just throwing them away? we, the tax payers have to pay for them to sit in prison, why not put our money into trying to correct the problem? Mexican drug cartels continue to probe for gaps in border defenses while fighting one another and Mexican authorities in a violent conflict that has killed more than 7,000 people in Mexico since the beginning of 2008. U.S. authorities also worry that terrorist groups could exploit vulnerabilities in border security.
