Why would anyone “choose” to be hated and reviled by people at every turn? Why would anyone choose to be considered a second class citizen with intrinsically less rights than everyone else?

Greed and thinking they can get away with it. The appeal is that if done right, no one would know and they get all they want. Ultimate test of character is what you still do when no one’s looking.

Oh yeah, I didn’t even consider that. Some people do have a harder life to begin with. Sometimes surrounded by others who will harm them so they have to do what they feel they must. More fortunate people should offer to less fortunate anyway. But murder, yeah I find less reasons to have to go that far unless it’s self-defense.
