they usually tend to be pathological liars. there is a compulsion to lie about even menial details to make their stories more interesting, which often stems from feeling uncomfortable in social situations (which may or may not be due to low self-esteem).

I doubt children who use drugs are at all concerned with the presidential election nor things that he has or hasn’t done in his past. Even so, its not my responsibility to explain anyone’s actions but my own. My children know that they, and they alone, are responsible for their own actions. They know better than to play the blame game.
