For a while now ive been telling myself that i need to stop smoking. And mabey have done it for 2 days max and feel back into doing it.
So i wanted opinions if i should ask the guy that im going to be working there with if he could give me some knowledge on how i can mabey start believing in this religion to help me stop smoking.
the thing is that i am not really open to finding a religion because i have not had one for a years. But willing to try and see how it goes.

Here in Washington DC, there’s a group called “Second Genesis” that I’ve given money to that is supposed to be pretty successful in getting crack and heroin users off drugs, using a “tough love” method.
I think the founders / organizers are probably Jewish, judging from their literature, but I’m not sure of this.
Are there either religiously oriented or purely secular groups that you know about & recommend supporting, that are helping people to escape from substance abuse & addiction?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any.
My best friend’s mother was a meth addict a few years back and recently my friend(samantha) found meth in her house.
She says her mom has been acting differently and coming home at different hours of the night and sometimes not come home at all.
Samantha’s mother DENIES that she uses,but everyone in the family is certain she does.
A week ago samantha was reaching out for her cell phone while her mom and grandmother were arguing and she(her mom) kicked her!
It turned into an actual fist fight.
Samantha has a black eye now,she asked for my help,so here I am.
