How Much Does a Drug Rehab Usually Cost?

Question by yayaquack: How much does a drug rehab usually cost?
Just curious. Anybody ever gone to a rehab before? Does it work?

Best answer:

Answer by SA16
It is often free through government subsidized programs. There are private rehabs, however, that you must pay for. It also depends on whether it is inpatient or outpatient, and how long you are there. For example, 21 day program is obviously cheaper than a 90 day program.

It does work for many people. But, many, many people have to go more than once for it to “take.” Addictions are tough. The best predictors of success include readiness to change (for real) and the person’s support network (family, friends, priest, etc.).

Being honest may disqualify you, but probably not.

Getting caught in a lie will ALWAYS disqualify you.

What’s the Percentage of Correctional Officers That Use Illegal Drugs?

Question by Vanessa L: What’s the percentage of Correctional Officers that use illegal drugs?

Best answer:

Answer by schr91
There really is no answer to your question. Those that use drugs as a correctional officer would no longer have a job. Thus not making them a correctional officer. If someone collected data on such a statistic the Department of Corrections would want to know and fire anyone associated with the use of drugs and their jobs. I would hope most C.O.s that want to keep their job would be smart to not use. How could you justify you are any better than the drug runners and users you lock up.

What Are Some Unique Therapy Groups for Adults?

Question by Vice: What are some unique therapy groups for adults?
I work in an adult residential drug rehab facility for women as a mental health counselor. What are some unique or creative ideas for groups I can hold for the residents? There are already groups for DBT, seeking safety, coping w/triggers anger management, body image, yoga, and domestic violence. I am having difficulty thinking of helpful and creative issues for which to start up a group.

Any suggestions? If so, what type of activities would it involve?

Thanks!
